Doctor of Law, specializing in Business Law, from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, with a thesis on the subject. "Risk Disclosure in Insurance Contracts: The Proponent's Pre-Contractual Obligation" (2013). Completed the specialization course of the Master's Degree in Legal Sciences - Insurance Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2007). He holds a degree in Sociology from ISCTE-IUL (2001) and in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (1990). He is a researcher at ISCTE-IUL (Integrated Doctoral Researcher and member of the Scientific Council of the DINAMIA'CET research unit - Center for Studies on Socioeconomic Change and Territory). He is the Legal and Compliance Director of Una Seguros, having previously worked as a lawyer. He is also Vice-President of the Board of Directors of AIDA-Portugal (International Association of Insurance Law) and Coordinator of the Compliance Working Group at the Portuguese Association of Insurers (APS). He is the author of six books and numerous scientific articles, and is a professor in postgraduate courses and a frequent speaker at conferences on legal and methodological topics.
