Este livro leva-nos numa viagem repleta de reviravoltas e um misto de sentimentos. As descrições da natureza envolvente são fantásticas, e qualquer fã do mundo natural ficará rendido. Além disso, o mistério em que está imerso é cativante e faz sempre querer ler mais. O tema do preconceito é também chave, e relembra-nos para não julgamos um livro pela capa. Confesso que não foi uma leitura leve, mas valeu muito a pena!

When I started reading this book, I didn´t know much about it and thought it would be a very slow-paced book with no plot. But boy was I wrong! By the end of chapter 4 I could tell this would be my favourite book for a while. The writing is marvelous and the story is amazing, and you really get surprised at the very end, at least I know I did.

Delia Owens é coautora de três livros de não ficção, sucessos de vendas internacionalmente reconhecidos, sobre a sua experiência como cientista da vida selvagem, em África.
