Foi o primeiro livro que li desta autora e gostei! Inicialmente estranhei um pouco a escrita, mas com o avançar da história acabou por se tornar uma leitura bastante acessível. A forma como a autora conseguiu tornar as personagens e as suas relações tão próximas daquilo que são as relações e vivências de hoje em dia também ajudou a que fosse uma leitura bastante fácil e envolvente, pois acabamos por nos aproximar de cada uma das personagens por razões diferentes.

Não é de todo o melhor livro de sally rooney mas para mim também não foi o pior! Para mim esta história afastou-se mais de Normal People e Conversations with friends, é diferente, mas mantém a mesma escrita cativante da autora e qualquer coisa que ela escreva, vale muito a pena ler!

Tratam-se de problemas e vidas como as nossas, com pessoas duvidosas e inseguras que tudo fazem para tentar viverem uma vida bonita que lhes agrade. Há momentos em que fiquei frustrada com as escolhas dos personagens, mas depois percebi que eles estavam só tão confusos como todos nós normalmente estamos, têm falhas e estão a aprender.

Sally Rooney

Sally Rooney nasceu em 1991 e vive em Dublin. A sua obra tem aparecido nas revistas The New Yorker, Granta, The White Review, The Dublin Review e The Stinging Fly. O seu primeiro romance, Conversas entre Amigos, foi livro do ano para o Sunday Times, o Observer e o Telegraph, e entrou na shortlist do Dylan Thomas Prize, do Desmond Elliott Prize e do Rathbones Folio Prize. Rooney venceu o prémio Sunday Times/PFD Young Writer of the Year.
