Amishi P. Jha é doutorada em Psicologia e em Neuroimagem e Ressonância Magnética Funcional.
É diretora de Neurociência Cognitiva no Mindfulness Research and Practice Initiative, um centro de investigação na Universidade de Miami dedicado à ciência da atenção.
Lidera projetos de investigação nas bases neurais da atenção e nos efeitos de programas de treino baseados em mindfulness, ao nível da cognição, emoção, resiliência, no desempenho na educação, nas empresas, nos desportos de elite e em contextos militares.
Foi convidada a partilhar o seu trabalho na NATO, no Fórum Económico Mundial e no Pentágono, e tem sido referenciada em publicações como New York Times, TIME, Mindful Magazine e Forbes.
