Ledicia Costas

Ledicia Costas is one of the most recognized and translated authors of Galician literature, having received numerous awards for her literary work. In 2025, she received the Barco de Vapor Prize, in 2015, the National Literature Prize, and she was a two-time winner of the Prize. Merlin She is the author of children's literature in the Galician language and is the only author to have won three awards. Lazarillo, the oldest prize in Spanish literature.
After working as a lawyer for several years, she abandoned the profession to dedicate herself exclusively to writing, focusing mainly on children's and young adult literature, although she also has books for adults. Her work has been a huge sales success, first in Galicia and then in the rest of Spain, in addition to being translated into several other languages.
