Pedro Mañas (Madrid, 1981) é licenciado em Filologia Inglesa pela Universidade Autónoma de Madrid, onde teve trabalhos selecionados num conjunto de jovens autores. Desde então, já venceu vários prémios nacionais e internacionais, dos quais se destacam os prémios Leer es Vivir, o Ciudade de Málaga, o El Barco de Vapor e o Prémio Anaya de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil, um dos mais prestigiados da literatura infantil da língua castelhana.
