ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Isabel Lucas

Isabel Lucas is a journalist and literary critic. A graduate in Social Communication from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, she began her career in television journalism and has since worked in the newsrooms of several major Portuguese newspapers and magazines. Freelancer Since 2012, he has written regularly for the newspaper. Public, collaborates with the magazine To readwith the Four Five One and with the Antenna 3She has published in several national and international publications. She is the author of the books... Isabel_Lucas — Conversations with Vicente Jorge Silva (Themes and Debates, 2013) Journey to the American Dream, A journey to the country of the future. and Conversations with writers, these three published by Companhia das Letras. She is also the co-author of several books in the areas of dance and visual arts. In 2022, she curated the programming for the Portuguese Pavilion at the São Paulo Book Biennial. She is the curator of the Oceanos Literature Prize and a guest adjunct professor at the School of Social Communication, Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. In 2021, she won the first edition of the Vicente Jorge Silva Journalism Excellence Award.
