Nuno Miguel dos Santos Pereira Resende nasceu em Avanca, a 14 de Novembro de 1976. Licenciou-se em Desporto na FCDEF - UP, com especialização em Alto Rendimento - Futebol, em 2002 (classificação de 19 valores na sua tese de licenciatura, intitulada Periodização Táctica. Uma Concepção Metodológica que é uma Consequência Trivial da «Especificidade» do Jogo de Futebol). Paralelamente à sua formação académica, jogou futebol e exerceu funções técnicas no CD Feirense. Jogou ainda na AA Avanca e no GDRC Válega. Realizou o curso de Nível II da UEFA na Associação de Futebol de Aveiro. Actualmente exerce funções técnicas no escalão sénior da AA Avanca.
