Julião Sarmento [1948 - 2021], artista plástico, é autor de uma obra multifacetada, tendo iniciado actividade nos anos de 1970, enquadrando-se nas práticas artísticas mais avançadas desse período. Na década seguinte iria afirmar-se como um dos artistas plásticos portugueses com maior projecção nacional e internacional, expondo em galerias e museus de grande prestígio.
