Cláudia Cruz Santos nasceu em Aveiro em 1971.
Doutorou-se em Ciências Jurídico-Criminais pela Faculdade de Direito de Coimbra, onde é professora auxiliar e docente de Direito Processual Penal e de Criminologia.
Foi a primeira mulher a presidir a um Órgão Disciplinar das competições profissionais de futebol em Portugal, foi assessora do ministro da Justiça entre 2000 e 2002 e foi uma das representantes portuguesas no Grupo de Estados contra a Corrupção do Conselho da Europa.
É autora de várias obras jurídicas já publicadas.
Em 2017, o seu primeiro romance, Nenhuma Verdade se Escreve no Singular, foi publicado pela Bertrand Editora.
