António Martins holds a degree in Economics and a PhD in Management from the University of Coimbra. He is a Professor of Taxation at FEUC and a member of CeBER. He was a member of the Corporate Income Tax Reform Commission (2013) and other commissions within the Ministry of Finance that dealt with tax reform issues. He collaborated with IAPMEI in project evaluation for the SEBR, SIBR, and PEDIP programs between 1987 and 1991. He served as an advisor to the President of the Assembly of the Republic, António Barbosa de Melo (1992-1993). He is the author of several books and articles on tax, accounting, and financial topics, published nationally and internationally. He is an arbitrator at CAAD.
