António Costa Pinto is a coordinating researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-UL) and a visiting professor at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon.
He was a visiting professor at Stanford University (1993) and Georgetown University (2004), and a visiting researcher at Princeton University (1996), the University of California, Berkeley (2000 and 2010), and New York University (2017).
He was also president of the Portuguese Political Science Association.
Among his recent publications: The Blue Shirts (3rd edition, Edições 70, 2014) The Corporate Vacancy: Corporatism and Dictatorships in Europe and Latin America (2016).
