Al Ewing é um escritor britânico nascido a 12 de agosto de 1977. A sua carreira profissional começou no Reino Unido, onde trabalhou em vários projetos freelance e contribuiu para a revista 2000 AD até assumir as histórias do Juiz Dredd na primeira década do século XXI. Depois de escrever um blog humorístico para a DC Comics, "The Diary of Ralph Dibney", que foi publicado como reação aos eventos descritos na série 52, continuou a colaborar com editoras americanas como a Dynamite em 2011 (onde escreveu Jennifer Blood) e a Marvel Comics, uma empresa para a qual tem trabalhado desde 2013. Desde então foi responsável por mais de vinte títulos, incluindo a criação de The Immortal Hulk, onde oferece uma visão aterradora do gigante esmeralda afetado pelos raios gama, a série Loki: Agent of Asgard e os dois especiais Marvel 1000 e Marvel 1001.
