The 20th century was a crucial period in Portuguese history, due to the speedy changes and variety of political regimes it underwent, each aiming at the establishment of one given social, cultural and institutional framework. José Miguel Sardica

José Miguel Sardica é historiador e professor catedrático da Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FCH-UCP). As suas áreas de investigação e ensino abrangem a história portuguesa e internacional contemporânea, tanto no campo político como institucional, social e cultural. É autor de uma centena e meia de livros, capítulos e artigos académicos. É também docente do Instituto de Estudos Políticos da UCP, diretor do Programa Interuniversitário de Doutoramento em História (PIUDHist) e colunista e comentador na Rádio Renascença.
