Sigrid Nunez
Sigrid Nunez nasceu em 1951, em Nova Iorque, e é autora de uma dezena de romances, ensaios e contos. Em 2018, venceu o National Book Award com a obra O Amigo, selecionada pelo jornal The New York Times como um dos 100 melhores livros do século XXI e adaptada ao cinema em 2024.No mesmo ano, estreou-se também O Quarto ao Lado, de Pedro Almodóvar, filme que adapta o seu romance Qual É o Teu Tormento, aclamado pela crítica como um dos livros de 2020. Premiada com várias distinções, entre as quais o Windham-Campbell e o Whiting Award, Sigrid Nunez é membro da Academia Americana de Artes e Letras, foi professora em várias universidades norte-americanas e colaborou com publicações prestigiadas como The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The Paris Review ou The New York Review of Books.
