Neste livro Patti Smith conta uma parte da sua história de vida, mais precisamente o período em que chega a Nova Iorque (anos 60), e que, juntamente com Robert, se vai descobrindo como pessoa e artista. Um livro que vale muito a pena ler e uma história de amor entre dois jovens que ao longo do tempo cumprem a sua promessa de nunca deixarem de estar lá um para o outro. Adorei todas as referências a artistas com quem Patti se foi cruzando e senti-me transportada para aquele ambiente artístico dos anos 60/70.

Li o livro porque a minha filha o tinha comprado. Normalmente e ela que lê os livros que eu compro. Ainda bem que desta vez foi ela a dar-me a conhecer um livro lindíssimo. Depois de o ler compreio-o três vezes para o oferecer. A acho que ainda o vou comprar mais vezes. Eu detesto histórias de amor, com exceção desta. O livro leva-nos para uma cidade e para uma geração de uma forma tão bonita que nos apetece lá ficar.

Patti Smith
