The Hummingbird Hotel, just outside New Orleans, is the spiritual - and, to some, literal - home of a group of friends comprised of con artists, strippers, prostitutes, and armchair philosophers. Thinking her funeral will be a party she would rather not miss, MIss Ruby asks that her friends celebrate her life while she's still living it.
