Versos Fora de Moda

He was born in the town of Torre de Moncorvo in the Trás-os-Montes region on March 7, 1876. He completed his secondary studies in 1891 in the city of Viana do Castelo.
At age 15, she was already writing for periodicals such as The Moncorvense, Viana Newspaper, The New Life, Aurora do Lima and Pontos and Commas having even served as director in some of them.
In 1894, he enrolled at the Polytechnic Academy of Porto and, around the same time, wrote his first book of poetry. Rainbow and also the leaflet Pro-Fatherland.
In 1902 he completed his undergraduate studies with the defense of his inaugural dissertation entitled "Neurasthenia: (notes and opinions)".
He contributed to several national and international periodicals such as... News Journal, January 1st, The Fatherland, Magazine of Spain, etc.
He was also an active citizen, having served as administrator of the municipality of Maia, monarchist deputy for the district of Porto during the government of Sidónio Pais, and Captain Medical Officer in the Militia, appointed on November 19, 1917, in Recruitment District No. 18.
He was also president of the Association of Journalists and Men of Letters of Porto, the Girondins Club, the Modestos Group, and vice-president of the Lusitanian Medical Association.
He died at his home in São Mamede de Infesta on December 4, 1933.
