Brian May is one of the most iconic and influential guitarists in rock history, known primarily as a member of the iconic band Queen. Before founding Queen with Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and John Deacon in the 70s, Brian May was a physics student at the Imperial University of London, and it was in his youth that he began to develop a passion for the guitar. He built his famous guitar, called the "Red Special", with recycled parts, which gave it a unique sound and became one of his biggest trademarks. After Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, May continued to be part of Queen along with Roger Taylor, and later, with the collaboration of Adam Lambert, touring as "Queen + Adam Lambert". His skill as a guitarist, songwriter, and musician continues to be a major influence on artists around the world, and his work with Queen remains a timeless reference in rock history.
