ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jonathan Cott

Jonathan Cott é jornalista e escritor. Conheceu Susan Sontag na Universidade Columbia, onde ela dava aulas no início dos anos 60 e onde ele ainda era aluno. Mais tarde encontrou-a no campus de Berkeley, onde Sontag ia dar uma palestra, e onde ele estudava literatura inglesa na Universidade da Califórnia. Em 1967, Cott mudou-se para Londres, onde desempenhou funções de editor europeu da Rolling Stone. A entrevista que desejava fazer nesses anos 60 só começaria a tornar-se realidade mais de uma década depois. Além de escrever na Rolling Stone colaborou também na The New Yorker e no The New York Times.
