Escritor premiado, Stephen Foster começou a dar nas vistas ainda nos tempos de estudante, quando tirou o curso de Escrita Criativa na Universidade de East Anglia - em 1999 publicou uma colectânea de histórias, It Cracks Like Breaking Skin, que foi nomeada para o MacMillan/PEN Award.
