ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Cristiana Pires

Cristiana Pires was born in 1991 and is from Vila do Conde.
She holds a degree in Occupational Therapy and currently works in the areas of Mental Health with adults dependent on psychoactive substances and/or with deviant conduct problems, with associated mental pathology, and also works in Pediatrics, in Special Educational Needs.
She holds postgraduate degrees in Art Therapy, Mental Health, and Special Educational Needs.
She also holds advanced specialization in Multidisciplinary Intervention in Autism Spectrum Disorder.
She is currently completing her postgraduate studies in Sensory Integration at the Coimbra School of Health Technology.
In addition to her great interest in her professional field, Cristiana is also the cultural director of a non-profit association in Vila do Conde, the Centro Desportivo Cultural e Recreativo de Gião, where, besides holding a position in the cultural management, she is the Coordinator and Director of the Alta Cena Theatre Group (Youth and Adults) and the Children's and Youth Theatre Workshop, where she has already produced numerous plays that have gained great recognition, mainly in the North of the country. In order to professionalize herself in this area, she is starting a Postgraduate course in Event Management at the European University.
His immense passion for writing scripts for his plays, combined with his interest in pediatrics and mental health, fueled his ability to adapt yet another of his plays, which addresses major themes such as discrimination, racism, the misuse of technology, and even the importance of dreaming.
