ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Raoul Cauvin

Born in Antoing (Belgium) on September 26, 1938, Raoul Cauvin joined Éditions Dupuis in 1960, initially working as a lyricist.
However, he quickly becomes a camera operator in the Animation Department, where he remains for 7 years.
It was during these years that he discovered his passion for writing screenplays.
Invited by Charles Dupuis himself to begin in this field, his initial forays were mainly made with internal collaborators from the firm.
1968 is, without a doubt, the key year of his career: it is in this year that Cauvin releases, together with Salvérius, The Blue Robes, a comic book that will accompany him to the present day.
After the artist's death in 1972, Lambil replaced him, and it was with this new duo that the series achieved the best-selling status it enjoys to this day, with over 15 million copies sold in French and countless translations throughout Europe.
Cauvin, however, went on to author several other successful series.
