Com Quicksilver tive sentimentos mistos. A ideia da fantasia é interessante e até há personagens e momentos que prendem, mas em muitos pontos senti falta de profundidade no mundo e consistência no enredo. A protagonista, em particular, deixou-me bastante frustrada pela falta de evolução e pelas escolhas pouco lógicas que foi fazendo. Houve ainda diálogos e expressões modernas que quebraram a imersão na história. Foi um livro que comecei com entusiasmo, mas que acabou por não corresponder às minhas expectativas.

If you're into morally grey characters, slow-burning heat, and a story that walks the line between love and destruction, Quicksilver is it.

Quicksilver foi uma surpresa. Comecei com algum receio, mas a verdade é que foi intrigante do início ao fim. Neste universo temos fadas e humanos, e existe um romance que vai ardendo lentamente ao longo do livro, até finalmente ceder. Temos uma personagem feminina que se viu desde criança obrigada a viver na crueldade do mundo à sua volta, muito destemida e com um pequeno dom, que acaba por se revelar maior do que o que parece. Pequeno detalhe, fiquei completamente rendida a Fisher.

A magia da história é super interessante e tem imenso desenvolvimento, e todas as personagens são pertinentes para a história, cada uma contribuindo da sua maneira. Gostei imenso de Saeris, uma personagem forte que luta por aquilo que quer e não se deixa levar por que os outros lhe dizem. Também achei Kingfisher uma personagem interesante e foi giro saber mais sobre ele e o passado dele.
