Linda Grant

Linda Grant nasceu em Liverpool em 1951, filha de imigrantes judeus, um russo e outro polaco. Estudou em Inglaterra, nos E.U.A. e no Canadá, onde viveu de 1977 a 1984. De regresso à Grã-Bretanha tornou-se jornalista colaborando com diversas publicações. Escreveu vários livros mas também escreveu peças radiofónicas, contos e ensaios. Os seus trabalhos, galardoados com diversos prémios, estão traduzidos em 13 línguas. Principais trabalhos da autora:
The Cast Iron Shore (1996), o seu primeiro romance, ganhou o David Higham First Novel Award e foi nomeado para o Guardian Fiction Prize. Remind Me Who I am Again ganhou o MIND/Allen Lane Book of the Year e o Age Concern Book of the Year. When I Lived in Modern Times (2000) o seu segundo romance ganhou o Orange Prize of Fiction e foi nomeado para o Jewish Quarterly Prize e para o Encore Prize. Still Here (2002) foi nomeado para o Booker Prize. The People on the Street: A Writers View of Israel ganhou o Lettre Ulysses Prize for Literary Reportage.
