ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Vítor da Rocha

Vítor da Rocha is a teacher, originally from the parish of Carviçais, in the municipality of Torre de Moncorvo, in Trás-os-Montes, and residing in the Greater Porto area.
Postgraduate degree in Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto.
She made her writing debut in 1997 with the publication of the work In the March of Time (short stories), published by Campo das Letras, a work that was selected for support by the IPLB – Portuguese Institute of Books and Libraries, of the Ministry of Culture, followed by the novels Closed Postern (2002), by the Readers' Circle, and Nina, the gold mine. (2009), by Mosaico de Palavras Editora.
In the field of children's and young adult literature, she published the work in 2004. Stories with Animals (Gailivro), included in the PNL - National Reading Plan, and the The Donkey's Romance (2013). He was also co-author, in 2006, of the work Five Burials of John, by Arca das Letras.
He is also the author of the works AIMMAP – 50 years of history (monograph, 2007) João Moura – from Barroso to Porto (biography, 2007) Jorge Casais – from will comes deed (biography, 2007) and Joaquim Viana – Forging Destiny (biography, 2014), also having texts of his published in the anthologies a Art through Writing (from 2009 to 2017) and Cardinal Tales (2009), by Mosaico de Palavras Editora.
He has also worked as a proofreader, translator, and writer for various newspapers and publishing houses in Porto.
