A. M. Homes was born in the United States in 1961. Her work is published worldwide and frequently appears in publications such as The New Yorker, Granta, and The New York Times. She contributes to Vanity Fair magazine and also writes for Bomb and Blindspot. She has also been awarded the Benjamin Franklin Prize, the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis, and, in 2013, won the Women’s Prize for Fiction.
