ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Geoff Dyer

Geoff Dyer was born in Cheltenham, England, in 1958. He attended high school in his hometown, and pursued his higher education at Oxford (Corpus Christi CollegeHe is the author of several novels and one of the most original contemporary non-fiction writers, writing about jazz, photography, film, literature, and travel. He has been distinguished with numerous awards – Somerset Maugham, John Llewllyn Rhys Memorial Award, National Books Critics Circle Award, E.M. Foster Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, International Center of Photography AwardWriter of the Year by the magazine GQ (2009), Windham Campbell Prize, in the non-fiction category and the Bollinger Prize Everyman WodehouseQuetzal has been publishing its works: Yoga for People Who Don't Want to Do Yoga (in two editions, in 2013 and 2019); But it's beautiful. (2014); White Sands (2018), Roger Federer's Last Days and Other Finals (2023) and now, HomeworkHe was a visiting professor and writer at the University of California for twenty years. He lives in London.
