Anthony Giddens

Anthony Giddens was a professor of sociology at Cambridge and, between 1997 and 2003, directed the London School of Economics and Political Science. A pioneer of the Third Way concept, Giddens wrote more than thirty books, including "The World in the Global Age" and "Europe in the Global Age," both published by Presença, and was frequently consulted by political leaders around the world.

He is widely acclaimed for his theory of structuration and his holistic view of modern societies.
