Katie Kitamura

Katie Kitamura nasceu em 1979, na Califórnia. Jornalista, crítica de arte e professora, dedica-se sobretudo à escrita de romances. Formou-se na Universidade de Princeton e é doutorada em Literatura Americana. Escreve regularmente para jornais e revistas como o The New York Times Book Review, The Guardian, Granta, Frieze, entre outros, e leciona no programa de Escrita Criativa da Universidade de Nova Iorque. Estreou-se com o romance The longshot, a que se seguiram Gone to the forest, A separation e Intimacies. Este último foi selecionado como um dos dez melhores livros de 2021 pelo The New York Times, indicado ao National Book Award e ao PEN/Faulkner Award, e finalista do Joyce Carol Oates Prize. A sua obra está traduzida em mais de vinte países, com adaptações ao cinema e à televisão. A escritora foi distinguida com o Prémio Roma de Literatura e bolseira das fundações Lannan, Santa Maddalena e Jan Michalski.
