ABOUT THE AUTHOR

P. G. Wodehouse

P. G. Wodehouse was born in Guildford, England, in 1881. Due to financial reasons, he soon began his professional life as a banker, a job he held for two years without finding it interesting. Around this time, he began publishing stories and journalistic pieces, and in 1902, the young author began to live solely from his writing. Shortly after, he became a renowned figure as a writer, journalist, and even as a collaborator in the creation of musical shows alongside figures such as Cole Porter and Guy Bolton.
Even before World War I, in 1909, P. G. Wodehouse traveled to the United States where he ended up living most of his life. He married in 1914, beginning a relationship that lasted more than sixty years.
In 1955, he adopted American citizenship and lived the rest of his life near New York with his wife and several pets. He died in 1975, having written about one hundred books.
