ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Francesca Simon

Francesca got the idea for the series by accident, when a friend asked her to write a story about a terrible child. The character came to her instantly. She immediately imagined an aggressive, impulsive, and stubborn little boy, the despair of well-meaning but vulnerable parents…
On the other hand, she was also interested in writing about the rivalry between siblings, and about the families in which the parents decide that one child is "the good one" and the other "the bad one" (contrast between the brothers Peter Perfect and Henry). Francesca confesses, moreover, that she adores Peter Perfect, because she feels touched by his desperate need to be good, while Henry is obviously everyone's favorite.
