Do you feel it in your bones that we’re due for one epidemic after another this term? Not,” she added candidly, “that I pay the slightest notice to any of your prophecies.” 
Miss Wilson shrugged her shoulders. “Trust you to be downright crushing! All I was pointing out was that when we do get epidemics, it’s nearly always in the Easter term. I can’t see why I should be jumped on in such a wholesale manner for such a mild observation.” She decided to change the subject. “Hilda, why are you scowling like that at the letter you have? Who’s written about what?”
