ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Claude M. Bristol

Natural de Portland, Oregon, Claude M. Bristol (1891- 1951) trabalhou durante quase quarenta anos como jornalista e editor, período durante o qual também estudou Direito, se tornou banqueiro de investimento e viajou intensamente. Após ter servido na Primeira Guerra Mundial, tornou-se defensor dos direitos dos veteranos, e acreditava que estes poderiam alcançar sucesso na vida civil usando os poderes da mente. Bristol dedicou grande parte da sua vida adulta à investigação e acompanhamento de novas descobertas na área das capacidades psíquicas e da perceção extra-sensorial, que considerava serem a chave para um maior potencial humano, tema explorado nos seus dois guias clássicos, A Magia de Acreditar (1948) e TNT (1932), ambos reunidos no livro A Magia de Acreditar publicado pela Lua de Papel.
