This resource is for grade 3 and utilizes exercises to practice cursive writing. Spelling: Your Key to Better Communication provides guidance and resources to help first through sixth grade students learn the complex process of spelling. Each workbook in this series follows a similar format and strategy to help turn novice spellers into skilled ones. Words have been selected on the basis of research that has identified them as those most often used or misspelled by maturing writers. Each workbook contains 26 two-page lessons. Exercises include identifying spelling patterns, "Learn the Word" strategy, "My Own Words" section, and a workshop activity to reinforce the correct spelling. There are sections in each workbook to practice handwriting as well as opportunities to review. This series uses Zaner-Bloser letter forms and the corresponding line spacing appropriate for each grade level.
