P. D. James

P. D. James nasceu em Oxford, Inglaterra, em 1920. Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial trabalhou na Cruz Vermelha e, em 1949, nos Serviços de Segurança Britânicos. Em 1968, entrou para o Departamento de Polícia do Ministério do Interior. Estreou-se na literatura aos 42 anos, tornando-se uma das maiores escritoras de romances policiais da atualidade.
