David Halliday

David Halliday (1916-2010) foi Professor emérito de Física na University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). Recebeu o título de Ph.D. pela mesma instituição, onde também atuou como pesquisador e administrador. Pelo seu brilhantismo na área, a American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) criou o David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics Teaching. A premiação é oferecida como reconhecimento das contribuições para o ensino da Física na graduação e os premiados são escolhidos pelas suas destacadas realizações académicas.
