David Halliday

David Halliday (1916-2010) was Professor Emeritus of Physics at University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). He received his Ph.D. from the same institution, where he also worked as a researcher and administrator. Due to his brilliance in the field, the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) created the David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics TeachingThe award is given in recognition of contributions to undergraduate physics education, and the awardees are chosen for their outstanding academic achievements.
