P. G. Wodehouse

P. G. Wodehouse was born in Guildford, England, in 1881. Due to financial reasons, he soon began his professional life as a banker, a job he held for two years without finding it interesting. Even before World War I, in 1909, P. G. Wodehouse traveled to the United States where he ended up living most of his life. He married in 1914, beginning a relationship that lasted more than sixty years.
In 1955, he adopted American citizenship and lived the rest of his life near New York with his wife and several pets. He died in 1975, having written about one hundred books.
