ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Edith Eger

Edith Eger nasceu na Hungria e era apenas uma adolescente quando foi enviada para Auschwitz, em 1944. Atualmente tem uma clínica de psicologia em La Jolla, na Califórnia, trabalha na Universidade da Califórnia, em San Diego, e dá palestras regularmente nos Estados Unidos e por todo o mundo. Trabalha igualmente como consultora para o exército e marinha dos EUA, em treino de resistência e tratamento de distúrbio de stresse pós-traumático. Edith Eger foi eleita Professora de Psicologia do Ano (1972), Mulher do Ano em El Paso (1978) e recebeu um Prémio Humanitário do Senado do Estado da Califórnia (1992).
