Teresa Firmino nasceu em Sousel, no Alentejo, em 1969. Fez o ensino secundário em Estremoz e concluiu Comunicação Social na Universidade Nova de Lisboa em 1992. É jornalista no Público, onde sempre escreveu sobre temas científicos e é atualmente editora da secção de Ciência. É coautora do livro Por Que Choramos Quando Cortamos Uma Cebola?, publicado na Esfera dos Livros.
