Silvia Marzagalli é professora de História Moderna na Universidade da Côte d’Azur e membro honorário do Instituto Universitário de França. Interessa-se pelas redes de comércio e pelo comércio marítimo nos séculos XVIII e XIX. É autora de numerosas obras, tais como Révolution, Consulat et Empire (Belin, 2019) e Bordeaux et les États-Unis, 1776-1815: politiques et stratégies négociantes dans la genèse d’un réseau commercial (Droz, 2015).
