Sérgio Almeida nasceu em Angola (Luanda) em 1975.
É autor dos livros "Análise Epistemológica da Treta" (contos), "Armai-vos uns aos outros" (novelas), "Não conto" (contos), "Como ficar louco e gostar disso" (poemas), "Ob-dejectos" (prosa poética), "O elefante que não sabia voar" (infantojuvenil), "Periferia" (poesia) e "Ema e a estrela carente" (infantojuvenil). Coordenou o volume "Poesia traduzida de Luiza Neto Jorge".
É membro e cofundador do coletivo de poesia e performance Sindicato do Credo. Está publicado no Brasil.
Licenciado em Comunicação Social, é jornalista desde os 18 anos. Ligado, desde essa altura, à imprensa escrita, tem acumulado também experiências noutros meios, como a rádio e televisão.
Paralelamente à sua atividade profissional, é promotor cultural, com a responsabilidade da organização de colóquios e simpósios sobre arte e literatura.
