Diretor gráfico e autor de livros e bandas desenhadas para crianças e adultos, Serge Bloch ilustra também textos de natureza cultural e social para a imprensa diária em França e nos Estados Unidos.
Ilustrou muitas histórias para crianças e foi responsável pela criação de vários universos de grande sucesso na literatura infantil.
O seu talento tanto se adequa à representação do quotidiano das crianças, como na série "Max et Lili", como a levá-las para um mundo imaginário com um super-herói como SamSam.
Algumas das suas criações estão agora a ser adaptadas ao ecrã.
Desde o primeiro livro do Totó, Serge Bloch imbuiu o herói de espontaneidade e modernidade, mantendo-o assim próximo das crianças dos nossos dias.
