Richard Corben (1940-2020) was an American comic book author best known for his fantasy and horror works, primarily published in the magazine Heavy MetalBut his work was very cross-cutting in the American market, having also collaborated with mainstream publishers such as Marvela A.D and the Dark HorseHe went on to work on several other popular horror titles, such as Creepy, Eerie and VampirellaHe also contributed to the renowned French magazine. Metal Hurlant.
He was the winner of Spectrum Grand Master Award and of Grand Prix 2018 in Angoulême. In 2012, he was elected to the Hall from the Will Eisner Award for Fame.
