Ricardo Gil Soeiro

Ricardo Gil Soeiro (1981) is a poet and essayist. He has several published essays, including Grammar of Hope (2009), Poetics of Incompleteness (2017), The Voluptuousness of Disaster (2019) and The Clear Enigma of Matter (2019). Organized the volume The Arts of Sense and co-edited Paul Celan: From the Ethics of Silence to the Poetics of Encounter (2014), From the Ashes of Silence to the Word of Fire (2018) and Nothing turned inside out (2019). In the field of poetry, he published works such as Calligraphy of Wonder (2010), Restless Labor (2011), From the Life of the Puppets (2012) or Fireflies (2022). In 2012, it came to light L'apprendista di enigmi, a poetry anthology translated into Italian. With Imminent Meeting He was awarded the Portuguese PEN Club Prize – First Work 2010. With the book The Wisdom of Uncertainty She was a finalist for the 2016 PEN Essay Prize. With the book Palimpsest was a finalist for the SPA Award 2017. With The Rose of Paracelsus He was a finalist for the 2018 DST Grand Prize for Literature. In 2019, he was honored by the Romanian Cultural Institute with an honorary title.
