Maria João Cantinho

Maria João Cantinho nasceu em Lisboa, em 1963, e viveu a sua infância em Angola. Regressou em 1975 a Portugal e estudou na Universidade Nova de Lisboa, onde se licenciou em Filosofia e realizou uma dissertação de mestrado tendo-se doutorado em Filosofia Contemporânea.

Atualmente é professora no Ensino Secundário e Professora Auxiliar no IADE (Creative University of Lisbon), Membro integrado do Centro de Filosofia da Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa, Membro Associado do Collège d’Études Juives et de Philosophie Contemporaine. É também Membro da Direção do Pen Clube Português, da APE (Associação Portuguesa de Escritores) e da APCL (Associação Portuguesa de Críticos Literários). É colaboradora na Revista Colóquio Letras e em diversas revistas literárias e académicas e membro do Conselho Editorial do Caderno do Grupo de Estudos Walter Benjamin.
