Doutor em Direito pela Escola de Direito da Universidade do Minho (EDUM). Professor Auxiliar da EDUM e Prof. Adjunto convidado da Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão, Instituto Politécnico do Porto (ESTG.IPP). Leciona a matéria do cibercrime em licenciaturas de informática desde 2004. Desde 2018/2019 leciona na UC de Cibercriminalidade do Mestrado em Direito e Informática da EDUM. Desde 2022/2023 leciona na UC de Cibercrime e Analise Forense Digital do Mestrado em Práticas Jurídico-Digitais da ESTG.IPP. Investigador integrado no JUSGOV da EDUM, e investigador convidado no CIICESI da ESTG.IPP. Publicou recentemente as Lições de Direito do Cibercrime e da Tutela Penal de Dados Pessoais, Editora Ideias, 2022. Além de ser autor de diversos livros, capítulos e artigos sobre a temática.
