MANUELA RIBEIRO SANCHES (1951) é professora auxiliar com agregação da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. É também investigadora no Centro de Estudos Comparatistas da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, onde coordena o projecto «Dislocating Europe. Post-Colonial Perspectives in Literary, Anthropological and Historical Studies». Organizou os volumes Portugal não é um país pequeno. Contar a Império na pós-colonialidade (Cotovia) e Deslocalizar a Europa. Antropologia, arte, literatura e história na pós-colonialialidade (Cotovia). Em colaboração com Carlos Branco Mendes e João Ferreira Duarte publicou volume Connecting Peoples. Identidades Disciplinares e Transculturais/ Transcultural and Disciplinary Identities.
