François Soyer

François Soyer é doutorado em História pela Universidade de Cambridge e membro da Royal Historical Society do Reino Unido. As suas áreas de investigação centram-se na história do antissemitismo e da propaganda antissemítica nos inícios da Idade Moderna, em particular no contexto ibérico, nas Inquisições portuguesa e espanhola e na história do género e da sexualidade na Península Ibérica. Professor associado da Universidade da Nova Inglaterra, na Austrália, é autor de vários livros, incluindo A Perseguição aos Judeus e Muçulmanos de Portugal – D. Manuel I e o Fim da Tolerância Religiosa (1496-1497) (2013), Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories in the Early Modern Iberian World (2019) e Ambiguous Gender in Early Modern Spain and Portugal (2012). É, ainda, coeditor do volume III da obra Emotions in Europe 1517-1914, intitulado Revolutions, 1715-1789 (2021).
